With the Super Bowl approaching and the impending commercials associated with it, I've just seen a commercial setting the standard by which their strength will be compared.

With the weakness most of these commercials have had over the past few years, this is going to be one tough little guy to defeat.

Quotes like "if you want to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe" are well known from Carl Sagan, but delivered like this take on a different beat.

A hilarious yet thought provoking mix, with lots of 1980's retro style.

Think Twice Before Murdering That Pumpkin

With Halloween approaching, many will begin decorating and preparing for the celebration over the next few weeks. If you are considering getting a pumpkin though, you may want to think twice about carving that pumpkin. A life of regret over slaughtering helpless vegetables may not be worth the momentary pleasure.

Botched Baby Billboards

I noticed this rather interesting pair of billboards while eating yesterday evening. They must mean one of three things.

This is an advertisement for something other than a hospital, otherwise if they are in this area they are contradicting themselves. What are they, a midwife service?
The advertised hospital isn't in this area, which begs the question why are they advertising here.
They left out the word "other" as in "any other hospital," in which case this is a rather embarassing grammar mistake to have on such public display.

Adult Salad Bar

While wandering around the Harrisburg area I came across this sign. I am not sure what an "Adult Salad Bar" is, but I don't think it is something I would expect at a family restaurant. A "Hot" roast beef sandwich does indeed seem like an appropriate side.

Infoworld's cover this week, just like the magazine itself, gives an unflinchingly accurate view of the present and future of the computing industry. There are so many elements in this picture which allude to the doom of Microsoft that I can tell the artist is someone who really has a deep understanding of the industry.
